Nominations 2026
Like a seismograph, the “phonurgia nova awards” measure the intensity fluctuations of international radio and sound creation. This year again, the participation score is high (387 participants), a sign of the attachment of all (authors, radio stations, collectives and studios), to an event that rewards those who mobilize the resources of the recording to bring listening to incandescence. Whether it is to manifest a commitment, to revisit aesthetics or to document social and human realities, new writings are emerging. This edition takes the measure of the phenomenon and delivers a vast panorama of today’s sound and radiophonic creation.
As in previous editions, the jury will deliberate in public and in the presence of the authors during a 3-day listening marathon.
” Each edition is the promise of embracing the best of contemporary radio creation. But also the privilege of witnessing, live, the work of the jury – made up of critics, essayists and sound practitioners – as it builds up a prize list, step by step, through inspiring discussions, nourished by multiple discoveries and shared with the public. “
– Marc Jacquin
51 productions are in the running for the 5 Prizes (documentary, fiction, field recording, sound art and discoveries Pierre Schaeffer).
This year, we are giving you a meeting twice. We look forward to seeing you for the first time in Brittany on 24, 25 and 26 September for the Documentary and Soundscape Awards, in partnership with the Logelloù team (Penvénan, Côtes d’Armor), with which we also celebrate the memory and work of the pioneer of sound documentary Yann Paranthoën (1935-2005). We give you a second appointment in Marseille on 13 and 14 november, to explore the works in competition for the prizes of sound art, radio fiction and ” Discoveries Pierre Schaeffer”.
From radio to podcast, all sound forms are present. Played in exceptional listening conditions, they will be compared, commented and enlightened before you by the talent of those who defend them: composers, producers, programmers, essayists or critics.
This two-part edition marks both the arrival on the scene of a new generation attracted by the narrative potential of sound, and the stubborn presence of an author·ice·s with familiar names, whose obstinacy in unfolding radio language compels admiration.
